We are committed to protecting your privacy. In this notice, you can read about the information we collect from you and how we use it. If you have any questions or concerns, you can email us at tesc@tilburguniversity.edu.

1. Information we collect

This notice applies to all information collected or submitted on experiencesampling.nl, the website of Tilburg Experience Sampling Center, further referred to as TESC. We collect this information in order to easily provide you with information about (activities of) TESC, or for technical reasons.

The information we may collect includes:

Analytics

We use Google Analytics with anonymized IP and store aggregated anonymous usage statistics and other browsing information.

Mailing list:

• You can subscribe to the TESC newsletter via an external link to our partner Spotler. If you fill in the subscription form, we store your e-mail address, name and IP address on a Spotler server in order to send you relevant newsletters about (activities of) TESC. Please see the privacy statement of Spotler for more information.

E-mail:

• When you send an email to tesc@tilburguniversity.edu, employees of TESC will see your e-mail address, name and the content of the e-mail.

2. Spotler

If you sign up for our newsletter, which is administered through Spotler, we will store some of your information, including your email address, IP address and certain information about the links you click within the emails we send you, on a Spotler server. Neither we nor Spotler will ever sell your email address or share it with any other party, unless we are legally compelled to do so. Only authorized Spotler employees from Tilburg University have access to our subscriber list. You are always free to unsubscribe from our newsletter, but as long as you are registered with TESC we may use Spotler to send you information about TESC.

3. Google Analytics

TESC places Google cookies. TESC does this in order to be able to analyze how visitors use the website. Google will use this information for the purpose of evaluating the use of this website and to provide TESC with reports about the website.

Google will only share the information obtained with third parties if they are legally obliged to do so or if third parties process the information on Google’s behalf. The IP address of your computer will be anonymized. Google has not been granted permission by TESC to use information for other Google services. Google is an American company and stores the information it collects in American servers.

4. Stuurlui

The hosting of the TESC website is organized by Stuurlui. You can find out more about Stuurlui and their privacy policy at their website. Stuurlui is a full service WordPress Agency. They designed and built this WordPress website for TESC, take care of maintenance, and make use of the third party Savvii for the hosting of the website.

5. Twitter

We embed a Twitter widget into our website to show you the latest Tweets from the TESC Twitter feed. Twitter may set a number of cookies for this component. We embed this feed using Twitter’s privacy guidelines, and you can find out what information Twitter collects and how it uses that information here.

6. How we use your information

We use your information only to complete operations necessary to share information about TESC. We do not share your information with third parties except when it’s necessary to complete the functions of TESC.

When you email us, we will use your email address only for the purpose of responding to you and for no other purpose.

Sometimes we may use anonymous information about your use of our site in combination with other users’ usage to make decisions about the contents and design of TESC. We don’t share these anonymous statistics with potential partners.

7. Cookies

We use cookies on our website for its technical functioning. A cookie is a small piece of data that a website stores on the visitor’s computer or mobile device.

You can disable and delete cookies using your browser settings. In the help function of your browser you can find out how to do this.

8. Right of inspection, modification or deletion

You are always entitled to inspect, modify or delete personal data. To do so, please send an e-mail to tesc@tilburguniversity.edu.

9. Make a complaint

Would you like to complain about the way in which TESC protects your personal data? This can be done via the Personal Data Authority (https://autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl/).

10. Changes to this policy

TESC reserves the right to change this policy at any time. Although we will notify users appropriately when changes are made to this policy, you are responsible for checking this page for changes. Your use of TESC constitutes agreement to this privacy policy.
